Diffuser

The diffuser is part of the light guide located on the interior ceiling. The diffuser transmits light rays guided through the tube and uniformly illuminates a room. Such light does not create glare and does not distort colours. The light intensity can be controlled using a manual or electric dimmer. Diffusers are made from plastic (due to easy formability and availability of technology) or from sodium potassium glass, which does not modify the colour spectrum of daylight. According to the measurements light losses due to back reflection into the tube can reach to 15% in are plastic diffusers. The special double glass which has better thermal properties is also used as the diffuser.
